The stars are now in alignment, the clouds have dissipated, and the seas have all parted. The sun's welcome energy over these current cold winter months, shines upon us one more time, reminding us of the September, and October months, we once walked the wonderful, northern hills of Spain. To herald your arrival, the sound of a lone Galician piper plays the traditional music of Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, La Rioja, Castille and Leon, and the Basque Country.
At last! At last! At last!
It has been such a while. I do hope the world has treated you all with kindness, good fortune, and good health, since the last time we met.
Welcome everyone!
This artistic excursion took a little longer than anticipated, overspilling by quite a few months. I had intended to complete it much, much sooner. I thank you for your patience, and apologise for the dangling of a carrot, that just never seemed to materialise. I decided that the best way to collectively showcase the images, and connect everyone to my own story, was to create a book. As I began to collate the drawings, I felt that by telling my story, my adventures, and some of my mis-adventures, a reader would be able to see the connection between all the assembled pilgrims. The book, should it ever be published, is designed to entice new pilgrims to make their own journey, possibly sharing their own experiences sometime in the future. You chaps have already walked the Camino. Your story will of course, be familiar to you. It is my hope, and wish, that it takes you back to when we once walked the northern hills of Spain. All the images, and graphics, are original and unique to this book. The book is a hardcover, full colour, 8" x 10" (20cm x 25cm), containing 222 pages of text and drawn images, on a standard, uncoated, 118gsm white paper. It is no great tome. Cervantes, Lorca, Voltaire, Dumas, Kafka, can all rest easy. It is merely a memoir, your keepsake, of a time now, long past.
The drawings have been created using charcoal sticks, charcoal and sanguine pencils. The originals are larger than the size of the printed page. Each drawing measuring approximately 13" x 13" (33cm x 33cm), the material used was a white, 130gsm smooth cartridge, white paper.

Please do take a moment to read the next few paragraphs.

Many attempts have been made to make the book as appealing, and as affordable as I could make it. Because each purchase is based on a one-on-one printed demand process, the cost to produce each book, is not cheap. Again, you have my sincerest apology for this. The best work around that I could come up with was for you to register your details with BLURB. By registering your details, you will receive emailed discounts. Usually, at least once a month. They tend to be between 10%, 20%, and 30%, on all photo books. These discounts will bring the price down to a much more affordable amount. It usually takes just under two weeks for delivery.

The book, is a non-profit, non-commercial publication. On this occasion the BLURB blue logo, printed at the end of the book, helps to make these one-on-one books, unique to you. It is your very own, printed copy. I do not receive a single pound, euro, or dollar from the price you pay. The amount that you pay goes in its entirety, to BLURB.
Once you arrive at the BLURB book's page, you will be able to view a preview of the book. This will allow you to see all 222 pages, from cover to cover. Nothing has been restricted. To help you to see the content a little better, view the book using a laptop, or desktop computer. These devices will allow you to see the images in greater detail. Zoom in, using your browsers keyboard short cut(s). Three, to four times, should be enough. Tap the right page with your cursor, to get started, then use the left and right arrows on your keyboard to turn the pages. There is also a scroll bar displayed underneath the book. Once again, please do not feel obliged to purchase the book. The access link(s) to the book, will probably stay up for quite a number of weeks. At least until the end of January. Feel free, just to view the book, and all its pages, online, to your hearts content.

All the images contained within the book will be released over time using my Instagram account: trevor.galway

I have two questions for you.

To give your answers, please use the "Reply link" below, or use the "Welcome link" at the top of this page. Either link will take you to the the front of the website. The contact reply form, is located at the very bottom. If you wish to return to this page, just use the Pilgrims link, located at the top right of the "Welcome" page. A big thank you to you all.

Question 1: The book may never become a commercially available version. The version of the book sold on BLURB, is a unique version to you. If, I decide to create an ISBN (commercial) version, are you happy that I include your image?

Question 2: I do not have everyone's details. If you recognise anyone within the book's pages, will you either contact them, or pass on their details, so that I can let them know of this publication?

It has been a pleasure. I wish you all a happy journey in life.

All the very best!
A SHIP IN THE NIGHT.

PS. If you should notice any typos, please do let me know.
