What a character!

A re-working of a Wonderful Wizard of Oz theatre poster.

First published around the early 1900s, this caricatured poster
of Fred R. Hamlin's Tin Man is a terrific example of a great story telling promotional piece used as commercial art. The image is eye catching and engaging bringing a lost, isolated, lonely and sometimes melancholy figure into our lives with a tender, warmly endearing and relatable illustration.

This updated three dimensional version of the character could be adapted to suit animation, or 3D print.

The software used to create the sculpt and text was ZBrush, final image rendered using Modo.

The last two images are fan art. Re-creations of two more wonderful characters. Disney's Toy Story's...'Woody' and the of course the 'Minions'. They were used as vehicles to learn new software. 'Hat's off' to the original artists.
